Our History

A journey of purpose, people, and progress

Founded in 2014 within the ENGIE Group, Syngenia has grown into a key player in engineering consultancy — agile, future-focused, and deeply connected to the needs of the industry. 

2014

Born with a mission

Syngenia was founded within Tractebel (ENGIE Group) with a clear vision:
To create a smarter way of managing human resources, and to offer consultants the opportunity to grow through diverse, meaningful assignments across ENGIE’s industrial projects.

From the start, the ambition was strong. Not just to recruit, but to train, develop, and empower talent through real-world experience inside the ENGIE ecosystem.

2019

Scaling with purpose

As ENGIE’s internal needs expanded — particularly through the LTO (Long-Term Operation) program — Syngenia evolved to meet new challenges.

With a growing demand for flexibility, we became a key partner in staffing strategy, helping ENGIE teams adapt quickly and effectively.

2021–2022

Expanding our services

As our experience deepened, so did our offering.

Syngenia moved beyond consultancy and recruitment, adding new value-added services :

  • Freelancer management
  • Sourcing and talent mapping
  • Retiree expertise programs ; Other tailored workforce solutions to meet every client’s need.

Our DNA remained rooted in ENGIE’s quality culture — focused on excellence, care, and sustainable collaboration.

2024

Crossing borders

Syngenia officially launched in France, opening offices in Marseille, Tours, and Paris, and setting the stage for international growth.

2014–2018

Growing from within

Syngenia began by supporting Tractebel’s engineering projects.

By 2018, the company had already grown to around 80 consultants, building a reputation for trust, quality, and reliability.

2020

Navigating the COVID era

The pandemic reinforced the importance of agile workforce solutions.

Syngenia stepped up:

  • Helping ENGIE maintain core competencies, while also responding to the unprecedented need for flexibility and reactivity.
  • This period shaped our expertise in consultant management, strategic recruitment, and adaptive support.
2023

Opening up to new horizons

With a solid foundation and proven methods, Syngenia began expanding beyond the ENGIE Group.

We opened our doors to external partners, offering them the same level of quality, trust, and agility that made our name.
