Mission
You will be responsible for:
- Monitoring and analysing European regulatory developments related to biomass and green fuel supply chains, and communicating relevant updates to internal teams and clients.
- Supporting certification processes for biomass and green fuel supply chains, with a focus on traceability, sustainability, and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
- Assisting in the organisation and delivery of training sessions and internal audits for clients.
- Supporting external audits related to certification schemes such as SBP, ISCC-EU, FSC, and PEFC.
- Performing GHG emissions calculations using internal Laborelec tools and contributing to their continuous improvement.
- Contributing to the structuring and optimisation of certification processes related to biomass trading and end-use applications.
- Working with key European regulatory frameworks, including RED III, EU ETS, EUDR, CBAM, and CRCF.
In the case of a full-time assignment, you may also:
- Contribute to applied research projects in bioenergy and biotechnology.
- Support the development of innovative solutions such as pyrolysis and hydrothermal technologies.
- Participate in technical activities related to biomass handling, pre-treatment, and upgrading.
- Conduct state-of-the-art analyses and structure research topics.
- Identify innovative solutions while considering technical, economic, regulatory, and environmental constraints.
Profile
You have:
- A Master’s degree in bioengineering, engineering, or a related technical field
or a Master’s degree in law with a strong interest in European regulation and affinity with technical topics. - A good understanding of, or strong interest in, bioenergy, green fuels, and energy transition challenges.
- Excellent command of French and English, both written and spoken (Dutch is a plus).
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- A proactive mindset and willingness to contribute to sustainable and impactful projects.
