Senior Engineer – Technical Process Optimization and Project Management

Mission

You will:

• Coordinate, organize, and optimize technical processes, disciplines, and projects within the scope of nuclear waste processing and decommissioning activities.
• Provide specialized technical advice, develop safety guidelines, and implement process improvements aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and safety.
• Lead comprehensive technical evaluations, including detailed calculations, analyses, and research to support strategic decisions, process design, and operational enhancements.
• Develop and validate technical solutions, specifications, and models aligned with project requirements and regulatory standards.
• Conduct risk assessments such as HAZOP, FMEA, and other safety analyses, and establish safety measures to ensure the integrity of installations and environment.
• Manage projects from initiation through closure, including planning, resource allocation, budgeting, stakeholder communication, and compliance with PMO procedures.
• Oversee preparation and follow-up of procurement and contractual procedures, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory frameworks related to public procurement.
• Act as technical expert and knowledge steward within the organization, ensuring the reliability, safety, and maintainability of processes and installations over the long term.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of norms, standards, and best practices in nuclear and process engineering, and share expertise via training, documentation, and internal standards.

Profile

• Extensive experience in process engineering, project management, and safety analysis within nuclear or industrial environments.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and manage technical tasks individually.
• Strong knowledge of risk assessment methodologies, safety regulations, and process design standards.
• Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal teams, external stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
• Fluent in Dutch(C1 level), with professional fluency in English or French as a plus.
• Proven track record of delivering technical solutions aligned with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
