Lead E&I Engineer – Olen

Mission

You will:

• Independently lead the electrical and instrumentation (E&I) discipline throughout all project phases, from feasibility studies to commissioning and handover.
• Make technical decisions regarding materials and applications, considering environmental factors.
• Collaborate closely with internal project teams (mechanical, site, design), project managers, and external partners.
• Interpret and assess electrical schematics and cable calculations (e.g., in Caneco) and provide solutions where necessary.
• Ensure compliance with ATEX regulations across all relevant project stages.
• Support projects related to process installations, including battery-related projects (e.g., anodes).
• Focus on low voltage, with foundational knowledge of high voltage, working from transformer level.
• Develop technical specifications and tender documents, define and monitor project budgets, and track planning and milestones.
• Correctly interpret SIL, PL, and Exi calculations to ensure functional safety and conformity.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe and Asia for project follow-up.

Profile

You have:

• A master’s or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• At least 3 years’ experience leading E&I projects within the process industry.
• A minimum of 7 years’ experience as an E&I Engineer in the process industry.
• Extensive knowledge of industrial instrumentation (pressure, flow, level measurements, etc.).
• Proven experience in project-based work within the process industry.
• Strong understanding of ATEX directives and practical application.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics (e.g., in EPLAN) and cable calculations (e.g., Caneco).
• Demonstrated experience interpreting SIL safety calculations.
• Basic knowledge of hardware and automation (programming skills not required).
• Autonomous, proactive, solution-oriented, and diplomatically skilled in communication at various levels.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; additional languages are a plus.
