Senior Civil Works Engineer

Mission

• You ensure the technical follow-up of civil works on site for projects related to lifetime extension, decommissioning, and operational support at the Doel nuclear power plant.
• You act as a key interface between Tractebel’s back office, the client, and contractors, facilitating smooth technical and organizational communication.
• You inspect contractors’ execution activities and verify compliance with execution drawings and erection methodologies.
• You monitor and enforce Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• You manage technical interfaces between contractors and coordinate design modifications.
• You actively participate in site meetings, addressing progress, safety, coordination, and technical challenges.
• You draft work orders and site instructions, follow up on contractors’ progress reports, and document execution issues.
• You contribute to continuous improvement by sharing lessons learned and staying informed about technical and regulatory developments.

Profile

• You hold a Master’s degree in civil or structural engineering, with relevant experience in industrial environments.
• You are fluent in Dutch, and have a good command of either French or English.
• You have solid experience in site supervision, ideally in industrial or nuclear settings.
• You are organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple technical interfaces.
• You are a team player, able to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
• You communicate clearly and factually, adapting your message to different audiences.
• You are curious and proactive, always ready to ask the right questions and anticipate issues.
• You have a strong HSE awareness, and naturally integrate safety considerations into your daily work.
