Senior Civil Works Engineer

Mission

1. You ensure the technical follow-up of civil works on site for projects related to lifetime extension, decommissioning, and operational support at the Doel nuclear power plant.
2. You act as a key interface between Tractebel’s back office, the client, and contractors, facilitating smooth technical and organizational communication.
3. You inspect contractors’ execution activities and verify compliance with execution drawings and erection methodologies.
4. You monitor and enforce Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
5. You manage technical interfaces between contractors and coordinate design modifications.
6. You actively participate in site meetings, addressing progress, safety, coordination, and technical challenges.
7. You draft work orders and site instructions, follow up on contractors’ progress reports, and document execution issues.
8. You contribute to continuous improvement by sharing lessons learned and staying informed about technical and regulatory developments.

Profile

1. You hold a Master’s degree in civil or structural engineering, with relevant experience in industrial environments.
2. You are fluent in Dutch, and have a good command of either French or English.
3. You have solid experience in site supervision, ideally in industrial or nuclear settings.
4. You are organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple technical interfaces.
5. You are a team player, able to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
6. You communicate clearly and factually, adapting your message to different audiences.
7. You are curious and proactive, always ready to ask the right questions and anticipate issues.
8. You have a strong HSE awareness, and naturally integrate safety considerations into your daily work.
