Job Description: BIM Modeller – Infrastructure Projects (Brussels)
Mission
You will be responsible for:
Designing, creating, and coordinating graphic models based on instructions provided by engineers.
Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety guidelines defined in the Project Safety Plan.
Preparing modelling project specifications (BIM Plan).
Taking part in the dimensioning of simple installations and equipment in accordance with standards, regulations, codes of practice, and internal guidelines.
Establishing design principles for installations, equipment, and structures, while guaranteeing accurate dimensioning.
Collaborating with owners and designers to develop project designs.
Structuring files and organizing computer-assisted design deliverables.
Creating measurement overviews (BOQ) and verifying implementation documents.
Controlling and validating produced documents (analysis, briefs) before delivery.
Issuing instructions to the design and calculation teams.
Controlling and monitoring the creation and progress of all graphic materials.
Participating in or contributing to the project’s quality assurance plan within your field of expertise.
Acting as the lead BIM expert and reference person at the work location.
Continuously developing your knowledge in BIM tools, design standards, and collaboration platforms.
Profile
Degree in a relevant technical/engineering field or equivalent professional experience.
Software proficiency: AutoCAD, Revit, Stabicad, BIM platforms.
Knowledge of standards: ASHRAE, Reknagel, ISO, NEN, CIBSE.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, aeraulics, hydraulics, piping, ventilation, and thermal energy production (heating, cooling, steam).
Good knowledge of plumbing systems.
Fluent in French and English (spoken and written). Knowledge of Dutch is an asset.
VCA certification required.
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Autonomous, reliable, and precise with a high level of integrity.
Able to work full-time (40h/week) on-site in Brussels (no site intervention required).
