Designer E&I
For our client in Brussels, we are looking for a Designer / E&I Engineer.
In this role, you review project data after project completion, prepare as-built drawings, and support small projects, always taking safety, ergonomics, practical feasibility, and costs into account. You work closely with colleagues from other disciplines such as piping and civil engineering to ensure smooth project execution.
Mission
You are responsible for:
- Verifying and checking project data and ensuring proper archiving.
- Preparing detailed as-built drawings and documentation based on project information and feedback from operators.
- Assisting with the execution of smaller projects, with attention to ergonomics, safety, and budget.
- Communicating with colleagues from various technical disciplines involved in the projects.
- Using specialized software such as AutoCAD, Microstation, SEE Electrical Expert, Eplan, or similar programs to manage and design electrical schematics and documentation.
Profile
You have:
- Experience with AutoCAD 2D/3D, Microstation, and the creation or processing of as-built documentation.
- A technical secondary education diploma (electricity, electronics, electromechanics, electrical or electronic installation techniques) with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree (electronics, electromechanics, (process) automation) or an associate degree (electricity, electromechanical systems) with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of low-voltage distribution, instrumentation circuits, pneumatics, and relevant standards (such as AREI).
- The ability to read and create electrical and instrumentation diagrams, resulting in precise technical drawings.
- Familiarity with PLC automation (e.g. Allen-Bradley) is a plus.
- You speak French with a good knowledge of Dutch OR you speak Dutch with a good knowledge of French.
- Proficiency in standard computer use such as Windows 10 and Office 365.
- Precision, attention to detail, punctuality, and a results-oriented mindset.
