Mission
- You support all engineering and system integration activities for electronic systems across various disciplines, including Low-Level RF (LLRF) and Beam Diagnostics.
- You ensure the complete technical documentation of systems and equipment throughout their entire lifecycle, from requirements and technical specifications to production, installation, commissioning and operation.
- You support the design, integration, validation and documentation of the RF Cell and its various interconnected systems, including LLRF and HPRF.
- You support the RF Cell subsystem leads in systems engineering activities, including requirements definition, concept development, architecture, integration, verification and related documentation.
- You manage and follow up on procurement contracts and project agreements related to the various RF Cell subsystems.
- You develop simulation models to validate technical requirements and translate concepts into prototypes for further verification.
- You manage the RF Cell test stand and integrate the various systems to develop installation, commissioning and verification procedures for the MINERVA accelerator.
- You participate in the design and verification of various embedded electronics systems, with a focus on Electronics, FPGA and Firmware.
Profile
- You hold a Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics or an equivalent technical discipline, and you have professional experience in an industrial or research-oriented R&D environment.
- You have experience with LLRF systems for high-power superconducting linear accelerators and with systems engineering of complex and interoperating systems.
- You have experience in embedded systems engineering, including Electronics, FPGA and Firmware, and practical knowledge of object-oriented software design using Python and C/C++.
- You have experience with procurement contracts, collaborative research or industrial projects, and the management of dedicated test facilities. You are familiar with development lifecycles, requirements, quality assurance and Git.
- You have excellent oral and written English skills. You work autonomously, take initiative, manage multiple priorities effectively and feel comfortable switching between different technical topics. Knowledge of Dutch and/or French is an asset.
