As a Quantity Surveyor within a Project Management Consultant (PMC) team, you ensure cost efficiency and financial control for a large-scale data center project, from budgeting to final account settlement.
Mission
- You develop and manage cost plans based on the project scope, design, and specifications.
- You prepare accurate cost estimates for all project stages, including tender and construction.
- You assist in tender preparation, bid evaluation, and contractor selection.
- You monitor project costs, identify variances, and implement corrective actions.
- You manage contract administration, including variations, claims, and final accounts.
- You conduct value engineering to recommend cost-effective alternatives.
- You assess and manage cost risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- You liaise with project teams and stakeholders to align financial and project objectives.
Profile
- You have at least 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, ideally on data center or similar projects.
- You have strong knowledge of construction contracts, estimating methods, and cost control techniques.
- You are proficient with quantity surveying software such as CostX or WinQS.
- You have experience with BIM and design tools (BIM 360, Navisworks Manage, Revit, AutoCAD).
- You are confident in working with CSA and MEP systems in a technical project environment.
- You are an excellent communicator and can present financial data clearly to various stakeholders.
- You are organized, analytical, and able to manage deadlines under pressure.
- You are familiar with global project environments and G Suite applications (a plus).
