Specialist Primary Systems Engineer (HV)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Primary Systems Engineer (HV) to join our client’s High Voltage Engineering team, in Mechelen. As a technical expert in complex HV systems, you will play a crucial role in supporting our project teams with your advanced engineering expertise. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge high voltage projects, ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of primary HV systems.

Mission 

• Design, engineer, and optimize primary high voltage systems to meet project specifications and industry standards.
• Provide expert technical guidance and support to project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Analyze and resolve complex technical challenges related to HV primary systems.
• Support the development of proposals, feasibility assessments, and technical studies.
• Review and validate technical documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Interface effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate seamless project execution.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety, quality, and environmental regulations.

Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven expertise in high voltage primary systems, with a strong understanding of their design, operation, and maintenance.
• Prior experience working in Transmission System Operator (TSO) environments  is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with innovative solutions.
• Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English, capable of liaising with international teams and stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to technical challenges.
