Lead Engineer - Spent Fuel Casks

Mission
- You contribute to defining the design basis for the casks and storage buildings, drafting the associated technical specifications.
- You draft requests for quotation and evaluate supplier bids, supporting the customer during negotiations with international suppliers.
- You follow up on the contract from the kick-off meeting to site delivery and acceptance tests.
- You oversee the licensing and qualification processes for the casks, participating in the review of safety files and technical discussions with Belgian authorities.
- You mentor and technically supervise a team of engineers in the Nuclear Fuel & Cask team, ensuring their technical follow-up.
Profile
- You hold an engineering degree in mechanics or electromechanics, with over 10 years of experience, including at least 6 years in the nuclear sector.
- You have expertise in PWR nuclear fuel design and spent fuel cask design, with an interest in design, manufacturing, and site operations.
- You are fluent in French or Dutch and have excellent English skills, working well in a team and project mode.
- You are capable of leading and coaching a team while being proactive, assertive, and detail-oriented.
- You are willing to accept missions abroad and commit to long-term projects, with the ability to obtain nuclear clearance in Belgium.
