Client Representative Coordinator (Offshore)
We’re seeking a highly motivated and organized Client Representative Coordinator to lead the management and coordination of client representatives working on an iconic offshore AC submarine cable project connecting Princess Elisabeth Island to the mainland. This is your chance to play a vital role in a challenging and rewarding project that pushes the boundaries of marine engineering and offshore construction.
In this role, you will serve as the primary link between our client, their representatives, and the project team, ensuring smooth operations, seamless communication, and quality assurance throughout the cable installation campaigns. Your expertise will ensure that every aspect of client representation is executed flawlessly, supporting the project’s success from site to offshore operations.
Mission
- Primary point of contact for both Client Representative and their agencies;
- Contribute to sourcing and selection of Client Representatives, including preparation of role descriptions;
- Onboarding and introduction of new CR to the project;
- Arrangement and follow-up of practicalities for CR, such as travels, contact, scheduling updates, PPE, etc.;
- Follow-up of Notification Of Inspections towards the AC Cable Contractors;
- Facilitate documentation flow to and from the Client Representatives (technical documentation, planning files, Notification Of Inspections, reporting templates, etc.);
- Organize regular coordination/follow-up meetings between CR and the relevant expertise within the Project team;
- Review and improve where needed the CR’s reports, in collaboration with the relevant Project’s discipline;
- Review timesheets to ensure full compliance with contractual requirements;
Profile
- Proven experience (3 to 5 years) managing or coordinating Client Representatives, site supervisors, or field inspectors within offshore or large infrastructure projects (minimum 3 years)
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and work under pressure
- Knowledge of offshore construction, marine operations, or related fields such as cable installation, seabed surveys, trenching, or dredging
- Solid understanding of submarine power cable manufacturing processes, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Type Tests, and Quality Control in cable factories
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite for reporting, documentation, and coordination tasks
- Fluency in Dutch and/or French and English—excellent written and verbal communication is essential
- Offshore work experience or familiarity with offshore campaigns
- Experience with Notification of Inspections and technical reporting procedures
- Knowledge of safety protocols and PPE management in offshore environments
- Experience with planning software or project management tools
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Marine Technology, or related fields
- At least 3 years working in offshore infrastructure, marine projects, or cable manufacturing sectors
