Project Engineer Automation & Control

Mission

For our client in Brussels, we are looking for a (junior) Project Engineer. The Project Engineer PAC (Protection and Automation Control) focuses specifically on the technical aspects of electrical infrastructure projects, particularly those related to protection systems, automation, and control.

As a Project Engineer you will: 

•  Collaborate on various voltage-level projects (380kV to 36kV), ensuring that the technical aspects are well-defined and executed.
• Work closely with Project Leaders and other Project Engineers, focusing on technical details while Project Leaders manage the organizational aspects.
• Participate in all stages of the project, from feasibility studies to closure, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
• Direct the design team during detailed studies, ensuring that technical studies are thorough, high-quality, and aligned with project scope.
•  Provide regular updates on project progress, facilitating clear communication among stakeholders.
•  Proactively identify how new concepts might affect project operations and take necessary actions to mitigate risks.

Overall, the PAC role is vital in ensuring that the technical design and implementation of protection and automation systems meet high standards, contributing to the successful delivery of electrical infrastructure projects.

Profile

You have:

• A master’s degree in engineering or equivalent through experience and a strong interest in engineering with focus on electrical, electrotechnics, automation and energy
• A knowledge of electricity grids will be an advantage
• A good knowledge of Dutch, French and English
• Strong communication skills and a team-focused approach
• Have the analytical ability to solve complex technical problems
