CAD Designer/Draftsman Civil 3D

For our client in Brussels, we are looking for a CAD Designer.
As a Civil 3D CAD Designer/Draftsman, you will be at the heart of developing technical solutions for large-scale projects related to railway infrastructure and roadworks. You will actively participate in creating precise plans that meet client requirements, while integrating BIM principles to ensure optimal delivery.

Mission

• Collect and analyze existing or future data: topographical surveys, track layouts, roadworks, hydraulic elements, structures, catenary poles, impétrants, etc., in collaboration with various internal departments.
• Design comprehensive 2D and 3D studies for roads (construction access, parking areas, level crossings, service roads), railway platforms, and hydraulic solutions.
• Work closely with project teams and other stakeholders to ensure consistency and accuracy of plans.
• Develop, update, verify, and optimize plans according to internal procedures, ensuring they comply with quality standards and client needs.
• Produce plans for the creation of specifications and urban planning permit applications.
• Apply BIM principles throughout the design process, adhering to current standards and procedures.

Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Sciences, Civil Engineering, Surveying, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in linear infrastructure (roads, railway studies, etc.).
• Proven mastery of Civil 3D (AutoCAD Civil 3D), with demonstrated experience managing surfaces, alignments, profiles, corridors, pipe elements, and structures.
• Good knowledge of ACC principles (Approach Construction and Design).
• Ability to visualize and project designs in 3D from input data.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools.
• Knowledge of Dynamo, BIM, and topographical survey techniques is a plus.
• Experience in road design and earthworks is advantageous.
• Familiarity with urban planning permit procedures is desirable.
