Key Responsibilities:
Define seabed survey requirements (geophysical and geotechnical) aligned with project specifications and standards.
- Draft, review, and maintain technical specifications for survey campaigns.
- Prepare comprehensive survey information packages for tender processes, including geological and geotechnical inputs for EPCI tendering.
- Manage and update survey data, route alignments, and constraints within the project GIS environment.
- Support route refinement and optimization through analysis of survey results.
- Interpret survey data to identify geological features, hazards, and long-term installation risks, including seabed morphology and water depth assessments.
- Evaluate survey-related tender submissions from contractors.
- Support clarification processes and technical queries.
- Contribute technical expertise to contractual negotiations.
- Oversee survey vessel activities, equipment readiness, and survey quality assurance.
- Support the review of survey method statements and QA/QC approaches.
- Monitor survey progress, review deliverables, and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Work closely with internal teams to understand data needs and translate findings into actionable insights.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation in line with contractual and industry standards.
Profile
- Master’s degree in Oceanography, Geology, Geophysics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Willingness to travel locally and internationally (UK, ports, construction sites) as required.
- Proven expertise in offshore geophysical and geotechnical survey methods, preferably within the North Sea region.
- Strong experience with survey planning, execution, QA/QC, and reporting standards.
- Proficiency with GIS systems (ArcGIS, GISGRO) and AutoCAD.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering high-quality survey scopes for offshore infrastructure projects.
- Fluent in English (both oral and written); Dutch and/or French language skills are a plus.
