Project Manager (Nucleair)
For our client in Mol, we are looking for a Project Manager. As our Project Manager (Nuclear projects), you will oversee the comprehensive implementation and production of critical components within the 100 MeV linac-program, a cornerstone in our scientific endeavors. Your expertise will drive collaboration among international research and industrial partners, ensuring the successful realization of complex, high-tech projects.
Mission
- Lead and manage the planning, coordination, and execution of the development and production of CH-holtes, including RF-koppelingen, RF-tuners, and RF-pick-ups, ensuring alignment with project goals and quality standards.
- Oversee all preparatory activities and conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) on Cryomodules, ensuring compliance with safety and technical specifications.
- Develop and implement efficient strategies for the installation and commissioning of accelerators and auxiliary systems across multiple facilities.
- Manage schedules, budgets, and resources to meet project deadlines and objectives, proactively addressing potential risks and challenges.
- Define and delegate tasks to team members, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure smooth execution.
- Monitor progress and performance, ensuring all project milestones are achieved within scope and budget constraints.
- Facilitate strong communication and collaboration among national and international stakeholders in research and industry.
Profile
- Master’s degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences.
- Over 10 years of proven experience in managing high-tech, R&D-focused projects within an international environment, including contract management and stakeholder coordination.
- Deep understanding of particle accelerators and accelerator physics is highly advantageous.
- Strong technical background in industry or research settings, with a demonstrated ability to lead complex technical projects.
- Excellent command of English (spoken and written); proficiency in French and/or Dutch is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Leadership qualities with a positive “can-do” attitude, ability to inspire teams, and strategic thinking skills.
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of working time internationally (costs covered).
